ORIGINE

This coffee is the result of a blend of batches produced by several small producers in the region of Saladoblanco, in the department of Huila, Colombia. Each producer cultivates about 1.5 hectares, often in complex conditions, at altitudes between 1750 and 2100 meters.

The initiative is led by Cata Export, with the aim of promoting the work of farmers who do not have access to the classic circuits of specialty coffee. Thanks to comprehensive technical support, producers are trained in sustainable soil management, water treatment, clean agriculture and fermentation protocols.

The coffees are then sorted and assembled at the dry mill in Pitalito, which guarantees a coherent, clean and expressive cup, revealing all the richness of the Saladoblanco terroir.

PROCESS

The varieties grown in this blend are mainly Castillo and Colombia, two hybrids adapted to local conditions and known for their good cup potential.

Coffees are processed according to a standardized washed process: cherries are harvested by hand at optimal maturity, then pulped, fermented, washed, and dried carefully. This protocol, implemented by Cata Export, ensures the reproducibility of sensory profiles while expressing the aromatic qualities of the terroir. Result: a clear, fruity, and structured cup, both accessible and rich.
