FAZENDA DUTRA:
The family business began in the 1950s when José Dutra Sobrinho (Zeca Dutra) – the patriarch of the family – began cultivation in Minas Gerais, with just over one hectare of land. “Zeca” Dutra saw the potential of the land despite the small size of the farm and expanded and improved it through his passion for coffee growing. Zeca Dutra died in September 1999, leaving over 300 hectares of coffee to his wife Osvaldina Dutra and her family. His sons and daughters were born on the farm - they have worked for over 35 years in the agro-industry and in all segments of the coffee production chain. The Dutra family produces specialty and organic coffees that are synonymous with quality and differentiation, both inside and outside the country. Dutra Farms (Fazendas Dutra) are located in the beautiful region of Matas de Minas, in São João do Manhuaçu. Coffee production is done entirely using artisanal processes which make a substantial difference in the final result of the product. The Dutra brothers have been involved in coffee culture since the day they were born. Production takes place in a mountainous region, at around 1200 meters above sea level. Thanks to the artisanal process, the altitude and the soil of the farm, they obtain a superior quality product and, with this, the coffees are ranked every year among the best coffees in Brazil and the world. Coffee cultivation is done in harmony with nature. Coffee plantations are planted among rocks, woods and waterfalls, in perfect harmony with the environment.

ORIGINE
