This coffee is produced in Guji region, a famous appellation for ethiopian coffee. The natural environment is here rich and diverse, and the fertility of the volcanic soils gives to this coffee specific taste in cupping. Buku Habel coffee is prepared by DW. This company pays attention to select the most beautiful cherries and to adopt an optimal drying, in order to reveal the high potential of this coffee. The drying station is located in the village of Buku, at 400 km in the south of Addis Ababa. Established in an altitude of 2000 m, this place is composed by a dense vegetation with a mix of various trees, coffee trees and ensets. The enset, commonly known as false banana, is a typical tree of southern Ethiopia. Its root, collected, dried and pounded is then turned into flour. It is the basis of the local food. DW Company collects quality cherries in this fertile environement. Cherries are the dried at Buku station to produce this natural Guji coffee. Buku is the name of the village but also of the river that runs through these hills. The green intensity of the vegetation contrasts here with the red tone of volcanic soils. B
